The 2010 Univest Grand Prix begins on Saturday, September 11 with the unveiling of the new Souderton-Franconia-Telford racecourse. The reformatted, figure-8 design promises superb spectator views and dynamic racing. This UCI 1.2 (International Cycling Union-sanctioned, international Pro/Am) competition, listed on both the UCI America Tour and USA Cycling Pro Tour calendars, has long been considered as a career-making race for young professionals and top amateurs. Professional talent scouts are always in attendance on the lookout for top young performers at the "Univest". A young Tom Boonen was second as an amateur in the 2000, and Slipstreams's Will Frischkorn scored his first professional win in Souderton in 2007. ![]() A beautiful and challenging benefit ride on Saturday, September 11 ![]() Footrace on the criterium race course on Sunday, September 12 Share: More than 150 professional riders from over seventeen countries will compete and fans can follow them on the live jumbotron in Souderton, through live television coverage on WFMZ-69, and with the post-event summary program on Comcast SportsNet.
